The State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture (SCUPA) Imparts Details of Urban Planning and Architecture to Youth

Interaction with youth is an integral part of state policy. Hence, the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of the Republic of Azerbaijan keeps this issue under constant review by implementing regular measures in this area.

In the framework of the Project “Coming together to create the future of the city,” the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture organized a meeting on 4 April 2019 with a group of active students of Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction. The multifaceted purpose of the meeting included the promotion of moral development and training for the youth, boosting their social activity in keeping with the employment strategy, identification of talented and creative youth as well as establishment of necessary conditions to ensure the development of their knowledge and skills. It further includes envisaging their future employment in compliance with their vocational education and available public service job vacancies and building their professional capacity to facilitate their development and becoming worthy citizens.

During the meeting, the Committee’s high-ranking representatives spoke on the role the students will play in the Country’s construction sector as they study to become future professionals in the area of urban planning and architecture, and provided comprehensive information on the major areas of the Committee’s activity.

Having listened to the speeches and presentations with great interest, the students also had an opportunity to eyewitness the activity of the Committee’s respective departments and ask questions to receive appropriate answers.
