On July 30, Chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture Anar Guliyev received the newly appointed Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Turkey to Azerbaijan Cahit Bagci.

Welcoming the guest, the Chairman of the Committee said that the recent news about forest fires in Turkey and their consequences deeply saddened everyone in Azerbaijan, expressed his deep condolences to the families of the victims and the brotherly people of Turkey, and wished God's healing to the injured.

Congratulating the ambassador on his appointment, Anar Guliyev wished him success in his work and expressed confidence that he would contribute to the further deepening of relations between the two brotherly countries. It was noted that Turkey's political and moral support during the Second Karabakh War brought to the attention of the world community that Turkish-Azerbaijani friendship, brotherhood and unshakable unity, based on deep roots, are at the highest peak today. Guliyev also expressed satisfaction with the close cooperation between the two countries in the field of urban planning and construction, as well as the close participation of the friendly country in the restoration and reconstruction of the liberated territories. He praised the interest of companies.

Then the chairman of the State Committee briefed the ambassador on the extensive reforms carried out in the country in recent years under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, the main activities of the Committee and the projects implemented by the Committee.

Thanking for the warm reception, Ambassador Cahit Bagci stressed that the relations between the two countries are of strategic cooperation and based on brotherhood, noting that the Turkish professional community is ready to continue to participate in urban development processes in Azerbaijan, including the liberated territories.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on opportunities for future cooperation in the field of urban planning and architecture, discussed mutual relations and possible joint projects.
