Urban planning activities carried out in the liberated territories were discussed at the Azerbaijan-Hungary Business Forum

The 9th meeting of Azerbaijan-Hungary Joint Intergovernmental Commission on economic cooperation has been held in Budapest, the capital city of Hungary.

 

The State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of the Republic of Azerbaijan was also represented in the composition of the Azerbaijani delegation. It was noted at the meeting that thanks to the political will and efforts of the heads of state of Azerbaijan and Hungary, relations between the two countries have risen to the level of strategic partnership and broad opportunities for cooperation have emerged. Issues of expanding ties in the field of energy, production and transmission of green energy, agriculture, labor, employment, social protection, education, culture, tourism, healthcare and other areas were discussed. The participants also talked about the restoration and construction work carried out in the liberated territories, and the issues of promoting mutual investments were considered. At the end, a Protocol on the results of the meeting was signed between the countries.

 

Azerbaijan-Hungary Business Forum was also held within the framework of the 9th meeting of Azerbaijan-Hungary Joint Intergovernmental Commission on economic cooperation. The business forum was attended by 87 companies, 26 from Azerbaijan and 61 from Hungary. It was stressed at the Forum that the development of cooperation between the business circles of the two countries is one of the main goals of the Commission, as well as the importance of the interest shown by Hungarian businessmen in the large-scale construction works of Azerbaijan currently underway in the territories liberated from occupation.

 

At a panel session dedicated to business and investment opportunities in the liberated territories, the head of the Department of International Cooperation and Protocol of the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture, Eldar Salahov, made a report on the territorial planning work carried out here.
